Sącz Beskids

Sącz Beskid (Beskid Sądecki) is a mountain range in Poland and Slovakia. It's a part of the Western Carpathians. The highest peak is Radziejowa at 1262 metres. The mountains are built from flysch rocks - alternating marine deposits of claystones, shales and sandstones (deposition since the Upper Jurassic up to Cretaceous-Paleogene time) which were detached from their substratum and moved tens of kilometers to the north (generally) in the Alpine orogeny .

The region has large amounts of forests. The mountain range has not got large amounts of fields when not counting the settlements around the mountain range's footsteps in the area of the mountain range. Some towns here are famous for the properties of its mineral waters, by local highlanders called "szczawy". During every season of the year, Sącz Beskid has a reach offer of attractions awaiting both tourists. In winter, it is a perfect spot for lovers of skiing. In spring, summer, and autumn, mountain range invites fans of mountain treks, lovers of kayaking, and all those seeking close contact with nature.
