Charzykowskie Lake: End of season

Charzykowskie Lake is located in the Tuchola Forest, near the "Tuchola Forst" National Park border, and in the Zaborski Landscape Park. It is located also in the MAB Biosphere Reserve.  Lake Charzykowskie is a true paradise for water and water-sports enthusiasts. The lake hosts numerous sailing events, e.g. regattas and youth training camps The sailing traditions of the lake and its water sports centres date back to the interwar period, when Charzykowskie Lake was the heart of Polish water sports. Charzykowy – a village located by the lake – still house the oldest Polish sailing club. Today Charzykowy has a yacht harbour equipped with a modern infrastructure, along with devices for launching vessels. ABC Wednesday

Lublin castle

The castle in Lublin is a one of the oldest preserved Royal residencies in Poland, established by High Duke Casimir II the Just. The medieval castle is situated in a hill adjacent to the Lublin Old Town district. The oldest part of the castle was built in the first half of the 13th century. The tallest building of the castle was built from stone and keep to this day. It is the oldest standing building in the whole city. In the 14th century, during the reign of Casimir the Great, the castle was rebuilt with stone walls.  The most momentous event in the castle's history was the signing in 1569 of the Union of Lublin, the founding act of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.  In 19th century carried out a complete reconstruction of the castle. The new buildings were in English neogothic style. Only the keep and the chapel were preserved in their original state.  The castle served as a prison from 1831 to 1954. Lublin is the largest Polish city east of the Vistula River, and the second largest city of Lesser Poland. The city, by some tourists called "little Kraków", has historic architecture and a unique ambience, especially in the Old Town. Zadar - home of the world's most beautiful sunsets

Zadar is located in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. Historically it was the centre of Dalmatia  Zadar is old, beautiful and hip. Many tourists are visiting Zadar to enjoy unforgettable sunsets with a view of nearby islands. The sunsets are actually stunning! The loveliest inscription of Zadar´s exceptional sunset was written by the Alfred Hitchcock. While a guest of room 204 of the former Hotel Zagreb, the famed director is quoted as saying: "Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world, more beautiful than the one in Key West, in Florida, applauded at every evening." Ljubljanica river embankments

The Ljubljanica is the main watercourse in Ljubljana. With its picturesque bridges and beautiful old city centre embankments, is one of Ljubljana's business card. The Ljubljanica owes its appearance to the architect Jože Plečnik, who designed the old city centre's river embankments. The architect restored the river to the city. He renewed the old bridges and built new bridges, including the famous Trnovo Bridge, Cobblers' Bridge and Triple Bridge. Ljubljana Castle

A mighty Ljubljana Castle is located on Castle Hill above the downtown of city. It is a key element of the Ljubljana skyline and is a symbol of the Slovenian capital. Probably a first Medieval fortress was built from wood and stone in the 11th century and rebuilt repeatedly in the 12th, 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Present appearance it acquired in 17th centuries. The castle was the seat of the lords of Carniola and then it was used as a penitentiary, and as a residential complex. In the latest times it is a tourist attraction and cultural venue. Ljubljana Castle offers the most beautiful views of Ljubljana and its surrounding areas. The castle is also a main cultural venue. Cetina River Valley

Cetina is a beautiful river in southern Croatia. The source of the Cetina is a karst spring located on the northwestern slopes of Dinara near a small village called Cetina. It flows a distance of 105 km through rocky, karst terrain to the Adriatic Sea. In the upper part of basin river is mostly fast with plenty of white water rapids and lies in deep ravines. In the lower regions, the river is much slower, with the canyon walls being wider, occasionally punctuated by flatter areas. Cetina is a most water-rich river in Dalmatia and it is one of the most beautiful places in Croatia for canyoning, freshwater kayaking and rafting. Linked to: Croatia   ABC Wednesday
