Ostróda is a town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Poland. It lies in the west of the historic Masuria region on the River Drwęca, and on the banks of Lake Drwęckie (read more: Drwęca Lake in Ostróda ). The first Teutonic Order stronghold in the area comes from 1270. This was a wooden structure, located on a small island in between the waters of the Lake Drwęckie and the River Drwęca. The castle was hit by a fire during a Lithuanian raid in 1381. It had a rectangular ground plan, a court in its middle and a moat surrounding the monument. Its front wing containing the gateway was, just like two other side wings, the commander's domicile.  Soon afterwards a new brick castle was built. During the wars of the Teutonic Order, this was a strategic site. The access point from the east of the castle was by a bridge, which led to a granite gate. An open air museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie stretches upon 22 ha of the area located at the bank of the beautiful Lake Gołuń . It is a magical place. It is located in heart of Kashubia - region in the Pomeranian Voivodship, Poland. The Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski Kashubian Ethnographical Park - so is the official name of the museum - exhibits collections of buildings and artefacts from 17th till 20th century from regions of Kashubia and Kociewie. The folk museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie was established in 1906 and it is first an open air museum on Polish land. Its founders Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski bought the 18th-century cottage of a rich peasant. The cottage and its furnishings were the beginning of the rich collection. The collection consisted of typical of those times household and farm objects, precious headdresses decorated with golden embroidery, glass paintings and pottery. Kashubian sea - so Kashubians called one of the most beautiful Polish lakes - Wdzydze. It is located in Tuchola Forest (read more: Forests in Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve ), in the region of South Kashubia, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Lake Wdzydze (Kashubian: Jezoro Wdzëcczé), also known as the Big Water and Szerzawa holds the five lakes: Wdzydze, Radolne, Gołuń, Jelenie and Słupinko. These lakes form a gutter system in the Lake Wdzydze cross with sides of lengths 9 and 11 km and the surface of 1455.6 ha and a maximum depth of 71.4 m. Ogonki (Kashubian: Ògónczi) is a small Kashubian village in northern Poland, 56 km west of the Gdańsk - capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The village lies approximately 30 km south-west of Kartuzy. The village is located by the beautiful Lake Sumino (see: Lake Sumino on the Charzykowska Plain, Poland ) and is surrounded by green pine forests. You can arrive in Ogonki only through the sandy unpaved road. There live only 20 permanent residents, but in the vicinity of the lake is a few dozen holiday cottages, so here it is quiet and peaceful. This is the perfect place to unwind in the open. Charzykowska Plain is a physico-geographical mesoregion in northern Poland in the province of Pomerania. The name comes from the Charzykowy village (read more: Lake Charzykowskie at dusk ). According to the geological structure, Charzykowska Plain is a postglacial sandur i.e. a thick layer of sand and gravel deposited around 12-14 thousand years ago when the last glacier was melting. The relief of the region was formed during the last ice age. In addition to the moraine hills, there are also sandurs, ribbons, sand dunes and river valleys (read more: Forests in Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve ). Lubie is beautiful and large lake located in Western Pomerania, in Drawsko County, Poland. The depth of the lake is up to 46.2 m, length of 14.1 kilometres. There are 5 small uninhabited islands on the lake. Lake is clean and rich in fish - especially pike, perch, zander, bream, and whitefish. Beautiful Pomeranian river of Drawa flows across the lake. Charzykowy - a small village near Chojnice, thanks to location directly on Lake Charzykowskie has become a mecca for sailors not only polish but also from the world. The village has a well developed range of accommodation and catering. Unfortunately, during peak summer season, when the place is teeming with life to find accommodation without much prior reservation is bordered on the miraculous. Tourists can use the swimming, while the sailors are able to berth and enjoy the summer sunsets in the safe water harbor.

Lake Charzykowskie is located in the macro region of South Pomeranian Lake District, within the western part of Tuchola Forest and within the area of Zaborski Landscape Park; it touches the western limit of Tuchola Forest National Park. Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve covers one of the largest forests in Poland, containing mainly Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). The landforms of the area were sculpted by a glacier that retreated at the end of the last glacial age creating characteristically long ribbon lakes. Additionally there are large clusters of inland sand dunes. There are extensive areas of peat bogs formed as a result of the overgrowing of the shallower lakes.  The most valuable part of the biosphere reserve (core zone) is " Tuchola Forest " National Park and 25 nature reserves.
